As manufacturing various Pump parts technology manufacturers of our technical level has been to follow the world trend."Circulation systems work in a similar way to a common rail engine," says Mr Main. "They are constantly pumping the fluid around, even when not spraying, with the air-controlled nozzle bodies shut off preventing liquid from being sprayed. There is no need to wait for pressure to build up in the lines, he says. "The circulation system also purges wash-out water from the last job from the lines an d fills with fertiliser so the required product concentration is applied straight away."
When filling with liquid fertiliser, there is no need to decant an d mix concentrates, so filling speed does not need to be limited, says Mr Main. A 300 litre/minute pump can fill a 4,000 to 4,500 litre sprayer in 10 to 15 minutes. The ability to pump fertiliser out of the sprayer an d back into the tank is also useful, he says. "There is no need to fill up the tank with exactly the amount required. If application is interrupted o r there is some left over, a pump out system can put it back in the storage tank."
